How thoughtful of the organisers to bring the torch so near your abode. And what very civilised breakfasts you enjoy Chez Bazza!
what fun!
and that beautiful breakfast! i want to invite myself over :)
joanne and joanne fox: Ladies, please feel free to drop in for breakfast whenever you are passing!
What an exciting event for you to witness. This will always be a special time in your life. Lucky you!
Dear bazza,
We went to see the flame when it passed through my home town of Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, at the ungodly hour of 7am. It wasn't too far away from Chez David, either. Unfortunately, my breakfast spread, post the event, wasn't quite as nice as yours, bazza. Maybe I could pop round for a few of those lovely looking croissants!
Very Best Wishes,
David.
What a great gathering... lots of support and spirit there! If only you could cyber-send me a bagel. My mouth began to water... so I'm off to find a snack!
Have a great time with the Olympics in the days to come!!
SO,AC: I hope by grandchildren (the twins) will always remember it. I suspect they were more interested in the breakfast!
David: We were in place at about 7:30am as it was very sunny then and the streets were full of neighbours streaming towards the main road. As with everyone else you are welcome to breakfast on any Sunday morning!
Dixie: Most of that food was from our local Costco and their bagels are excellent. After the great British success in the Tour de France yesterday we are now expecting to sweep the board at the Olympics!
Hi bazza,
What a marvellous time as the Olympic Torch came so close to your abode.
I would of thought you would of being one of the torch-bearers.
I think your breakfast table will be overran with all your admirers, bazza.
Hi Gary. Yes, I was shocked that I wasn't asked but we had a great morning and an unusually large breakfast!
Hi, Chez;
Very nice joyful occasion to gather with friends, isn't it?
Aliza: Always. We don't need much of an excuse to start celebrating!
Wow! Great pics! Looks like you prepared for the festivities, as well. That must be exciting to have the Olympics not too awfully far and then have the Olympic torch carried through by your place. Hell, I wouldn't be able to stop clicking away on my camera.
Did all of the guests at your place behave themselves? No food was stolen, was it? If I were there, I'd stuff my pockets full.
Cordially,
Kezza
Kez, (my son-in-law would call you K-Man or The Kezter or Kell-Boy!): Regrettably everyone did behave but where were you; we were expecting you for breakfast. I suppose it is possible that your invite got lost in the post - I addressed it to 'Kezza, US of A' with no postage stamp!
