Exmouth, Devon, UK (100th Post)

The unspoiled seafront at Exmouth
Exmouth is a beautiful old town situated at the mouth of the  estuary of the river Ex, on England's south coast in the county of  Devon. It's about 150 miles from the centre of London and ten miles south of Exeter.
My cousin and his wife have just celebrated a big wedding anniversary. They ran away to Gretna Green (really) to get married when he was 16 and she was 17 years old. Despite all the predictions the marriage has lasted and they have four grandchildren now. That part of the south coast is very wealthy and it would help to be quite rich if you want to live there.

We just got back from a wonderful long weekend of celebration there and on Thursday we are off again for another long wekend in Bournemouth further up the south coast and only a hundred miles from London. It's a tough life n'est pas?

Hi John. Yes, I am feeling a bit guilty but it will pass over in a minute or two! I do hope to find some time to visit my regular blogging friends later today. Thanks for your good wishes.

Sir Tom Eagerly, says:
Bazza old chap, you will have to get your servants to do all your packing for you. It's such a drag controlling so many staff I find. Have a jolly time my friend.

What a romantic story about your cousin! I don't know Exmouth but the photos look lovely. Take it easy - all these long weekends you're having to take must be tough!

Sir Tom: My 'servants' are better known as that lovely lady, 'Mrs Bazza'! I presume Eagerly Manor is full of adoring flunkies?

joanne fox. Hi. I might need a few days on a health farm to recuperate after this lot! It was my first time in Exmouth and it's a really unspoilt town with a few hotels and a laid back atmosphere.

Hi Bazza,

HI Bazza,

100th post! That is a lot of writing, and I've really enjoyed the read. Your trip to Exmouth sounds relaxing. We often zip by a town named Exeter in New Hampshire on the way to the shore. It is a very quaint old brick mill town on the Exeter river. I like it, but it can be a bit crowded.

I love your cousin's and wife's story. Happily ever after always makes me smile.

BTW, hang tough for those long, weekends. I hate to think of you "suffering" so. Have fun!

Congratulations on your 100th post! I love the variety of subjects you write about. Oh yes, and those quizzies I can never complete.

Such a lovely place for a celebration; lucky you & the Mrs. Take care.

Snee: Hi, thank you for your compassion. It's a tough job etc....
I suppose the New England Exeter is named after the English one. Devon is a lovely county which is very reliant on tourism and farming.

dcrelief: Hello there. It was a very nice celebration at a serene location. Now I should working on the next evil quiz! Thanks for your kind words.

Dear bazza,
Congrats on reaching the golden 100. It has been an interesting and educational journey.
Exmouth looks like a lovely place, too. Hope you have similar good times as you venture on to Bournemouth!
With Very Best Wishes,
David.

David: I am posting this from sunny and hot Bournemouth. Thanks for your good wishes - back to 'normal' soon!

Hi joanne. I had to do some work today and it did seem very strange!
Never mind, we are off to Centre Parcs in Elvedon Forest on Monday week with little Sonny (and the whole family). Hope you are well.
