Kezza: I enjoy the daft answers best! What's that? They weren't meant to be daft? Oh well.....
Hot from the awesome brain of Sir Tom Eagerly:
Bazza! Behave yourself and ask some questions in English please. Q2 is in Welsh isn't it? I need to lie down in a darkened room after merely reading these questions.
I know it's not like me but I need a drink now.
Bottoms up old boy!
Hi Sir Tom: Seems like I made this one too hard! Even for your towering intellect.
Answers soon.
Well it seems I've really stumped most people this time!
Here are the answers:
A1: An electric light-bulb. He passed a current through platinum strips but unfortunately, they evaporated quickly and Davy was unable to create a light that lasted more than a few minutes.
A2. He was appointed the first Secretary-General of the United Nations in 1945.
A3: Niagara Falls between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
A3: Not only were they all taken from the works of William Shakespeare but, precisely, they are all taken from the text of Macbeth.
Well, I am very late to the party, bazza (almost two years late), but I knew all of the answers to your quiz without looking.
Well it's easy to say that now! Anyway, thanks for reminding me that I haven't posted a quiz for a while :)
