You may have noticed the links I put in at the end of most posts.
I have hundreds of Beatles and Beach Boys songs on there and 2,000 others!
As a follow-on to my answer to Hels, above: when we got back home from seeing that Beach Boys concert the phone was ringing as we entered the house. It was Bruce Johnston asking if we had enjoyed the concert! (Thanks for explaining some of the parts I found confusing.) As for the Beach Boys, my gearhead husband can still sing all of the lyrics to their car songs. I guess the music of our youth defines us, in a way. Although I listen to some of the modern stuff, (Like Muse, for example) if I want to listen to pop music, I generally go for the oldies. All of the albums had 14 tracks instead of the usual 12 AND there were no 'filler' tracks - every one a winner!
bazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794010156639774028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9065667386668307918.post-79572723861015806532019-05-02T12:30:41.284+01:002019-05-02T12:30:41.284+01:00Hels: Me too! Leah and I saw the Beach boys at Wembley Arena when my daughter was working at Harrods and Bruce Johnston gave her four VIP tickets and back-stage passes after she sold him a shirt.bazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794010156639774028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9065667386668307918.post-48033612417473519642019-05-01T08:26:41.509+01:002019-05-01T08:26:41.509+01:00Hello Bazza, It was a wise policy not to include ...Hello Bazza, It was a wise policy not to include singles on albums. In many collections and compilations, both literary and musical, individual selections are repeated to the extent that when you buy a new title, often after considerable expense and searching, you find that only one or two of the pieces are new to you, the rest have been endlessly republished.
--JimParnassushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958901307538141468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9065667386668307918.post-12671143115895061672019-05-01T03:25:53.358+01:002019-05-01T03:25:53.358+01:001966 was one of my five favourite years (1966-70 i...1966 was one of my five favourite years (1966-70 inclusive) since I did my Gap Year overseas. But I was homesick during some periods away, and depended on the Beach Boys and Beatles to stay grounded. Bless their hearts!Helshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02849907428208235392noreply@blogger.com
